When you are through changing…You're through.

Where do you go to get advice on sensitive issues? Sometimes the best place to turn is to other leaders like yourself.

It can be lonely at the top. We often hear that leaders need a regular forum where they can speak candidly about the challenges they face, and hear how others have resolved similar issues.

"If you want to create a team of people around you to tell you the truth about your business and give you unconditional support... this is the most powerful place to be. It launched my business into new abundance - and it was great before!" — Jeanna Gabellini

Frequently Asked Questions about Leader Networks:

What are Leader Networks?
Leader Networks are facilitated, peer-coaching networks that provide a powerful forum designed to move you forward. If you are already highly successful, and want to learn from other high achievers in your field, Leader Networks are custom made for you! Getting together with other leaders is refreshing because it provides an opportunity to step back and reflect, in a structured, confidential setting.

Whether your goal is to broaden your impact, increase your income, branch off in a new direction, or start playing a bigger game, you can expect dramatic results from this rigorous process.

If you want to do more than admire your colleagues from afar; if you want to learn from their failures and successes, then join a group of your peers in an exciting, challenging network that creates opportunities for renewal and results.

How do Leader Networks operate?

When you join Leader Networks, you join a group of 6-8 other similar leaders, and together you serve as a dynamic advisory team for each other. With the help of a facilitator, you meet on the phone regularly to engage in a thorough analysis of your business and theirs.

As you challenge and advise each other to take the actions your businesses most need, you serve as both advisor and learner. Expect to grow both personally and professionally, and make some long-lasting friendships.

We offer separate Leader Networks for CEOs, business owners, general managers, executive directors of non-profits, consultants, and other leaders. We group people in networks who have similar levels of revenue, similar business size, are unlikely to compete, and are from different geographical locations.

What makes Leader Networks powerful?

Leadership development can't be done on a superficial level. That's why you're expected to share your successes, failures, learning and action steps with your network.

If you're a business owner, sharing your financials and goals with other members of your network is required. Other leaders share different measures of success defined at the orientation session. You'll each receive a composite of the group's financials to use as a benchmark.

Financials can be very revealing; they give you an indication of each person's values, strengths and opportunities.

In our culture we learn early that it's bad manners to talk about money, particularly about how much money we make or have, so sharing financials may leave you feeling a little queasy.

Leader Networks challenge old ways of thinking about money by creating an intimate environment where it is safe, useful, and inspiring to talk about money. When you're open about how money works and what gets in the way, you learn new ways to create wealth!

Tell me more about the process.
As a Leader Networks member, you will be asked to:

  • sign a confidentiality agreement
  • share basic information about your business
  • share your business financial statements with your network
  • attend 1-1/2-hour teleconferences on a weekly basis for two months
  • attend 1-1/2-hour teleconferences on a monthly basis for ten months
  • be accountable for the actions you choose to increase your business prosperity
  • engage in dialogue during the week with other members of your Network
  • share, by e-mail, results of the actions you committed to undertake

What happens during the sessions?

Prior to the first Network meeting, you will complete a survey about your business, and receive a Network composite about all the members in your group. The first meeting is an orientation, where you discover each other's expertise and commit to confidentiality. For most groups, coaching skills training gets things rolling.

The rest of the sessions follow a similar path. One business is in the spotlight each session, but expect to learn just as much when you are not in the spotlight! When you are the spotlighted business you'll take ten minutes up front to share your hopes, dreams and visions.

Briefly, you'll describe your business strategy and your marketing plan and choose an area where you could use some help. You might choose to expand your vision, start a new project or get help with a specific problem. Or you might ask group members to take a broad look at your business and offer their insights.

Your peers will ask you rigorous clarifying questions to penetrate to the heart of the matter. Next you'll experience a brainstorming free-for-all where you'll be bombarded with ideas, resources, contacts, suggestions, and challenges. Anything goes except that nobody gets attached to his or her suggestions! And, nobody gets to be wrong!

Finally you'll be asked to choose from all the possibilities. You'll share which ideas spark you, your intentions, and your commitments. After the call, you'll e-mail your results to the group, which might include insights, new directions, action plan, structure and commitments.
