Mentor Coaching

Are you ready to be inspired, challenged and guided to become a more skillful coach? Are you looking for rigorous, supportive feedback on your coaching skills? Are you yearning to develop your own voice and personal coaching style? Then Mentor Coaching is for you!

You can study coaching skills, practice with clients, and still never get the kind of movement in your coaching you can get from mentor coaching sessions. Your mentor coach gives supportive, specific feedback and points you toward clear steps that call on your strengths as a coach. We look both at how you do the skills and who you are as a coach.

You can use mentor coaching to take your coaching to the next level or prepare to apply for an ICF credential.

Regardless of your reason, you will become a more dynamic, connected coach after your mentor coaching sessions. All of the  mentor coaching sessions are designed to give you feedback on the ICF core competencies. You'll work with a trained mentor coach who listens to your coaching and gives riogorous feedback designed to develop your skills and build on your strengths as a coach.

We offer Mentor Coaching as graduate courses in 2 formats – Group and Individual.

Group Mentor Coaching

Experience the camaraderie of a group of 8-10 other coaches for a series of 6 Mentor Coaching Sessions. In this experiential process you’ll learn about missed coaching opportunities, get suggestions on opening the space for transformation, and get pointers on exactly what you need to be a more powerful and effective coach. You will get solid, observable feedback designed to build on your assets and give you specific suggestions to take your coaching to the next level. You will be inspired, challenged and guided to become a skillful, effective coach with your own voice and style.

To apply for the ICF credential, you will need 10 hours of Mentor Coaching, 3 of which need to be individual sessions. For information on our individual sessions, described below.

Each group mentor coaching session is 90 minutes. These MC sessions can be applied to your requirement for the ICF Credential process. You will receive a certificate documenting your 9 hours of Mentor coaching.

Led by Master Certified Coaches (MCC) on the CFT Faculty.

Individual Mentor Coaching

At CFT, we are committed to providing coaches with the skills they need to continue their development as a coach and to be prepared for the ICF credential process. We offer 60-minute individual Mentor Coaching sessions with one of our CFT MCC Mentor Coaches. All our Mentor Coaches have experience offering supportive feedback based on your strengths and tailored to take your coaching to the next level. Whether you are looking to refresh and renew your coaching skills, bring yourself out of a “coaching dip” or gather the required hours for the ICF credentialing process, our Mentor Coaching will bring out the best in your coaching.

For the ICF PCC or MCC credential, you will need a total of 10 hours of Mentor Coaching. Seven of those hours can be group Mentor Coaching and three hours must be individual mentor coaching.

Your investment for each mentor coaching session is $200. For more information or to get started, contact us.

What People Are Saying

Tom WeidemannBefore the team building workshop our staff was struggling with communication problems and battling with an us-versus-them mentality. Virginia's energy and her choice of activities allowed people to share at a level that's unusual in a business environment. She was absolutely perfect and the response was terrific. We hear more laughter and the staff is both more relaxed and more excited. Everyone is committed to monthly follow-up on projects that continue to bring us together. —Tom Weidemann, Executive Director, Clemens Center
