Coaching for Transformation takes place in a dynamic learning community that prepares you to become a certified professional coach. You will discover 3 levels of listening, embody 6 principles, and practice 24 coaching skills that put your clients in the driver’s seat.

Each module is highly experiential, packed with demonstrations, plenty of practice and rich feedback.

The 5 pathways to alignment are powerful processes that lead to
deep transformation:

  • Exploring Needs and Values – Discover inner motivators by recognizing immediate needs and long-term values
  • Expanding the View – Identify limiting beliefs, explore new viewpoints, and choose empowering beliefs
  • Experiencing the Moment – Connect with the energetic life force by expanding awareness, emotional intelligence, somatic sensing
  • Envisioning the Future – Open to new possibilities by engaging the right brain, visualizing, and creating a more compelling future
  • Embracing the Shadow – Recognize the purpose of inner critics and transform them into allies

Accredited by the International Coach Federation, Coaching for Transformation is led by experienced coach trainers with extensive experience who:

  • Deliver an accredited coach training curriculum that addresses the assets and challenges faced by people of different cultures, including issues of power and privilege.
  • Recruit participants committed to the values of social justice and to making coaching accessible to less served communities.
  • Create, support and honor the training needs of a diverse learning community.
  • Hold values of possibility and success for participants as they work their way toward graduation.

Program Components

  • 140 class hours
    • 12 classroom training days
    • 34 90-minute teleclasses
  • 10 mentor hours
  • 40-100 practice coaching hours
  • 6 hours working with a Coaching for Transformation certified coach
  • Weekly online discussions
  • Oral and written assessments
When you complete the program requirements, you become a Certified Professional Coach from an International Coach Federation(ICF) accredited school.

Leadership that Works is committed to advancing the field of coaching around the world. It is our goal to offer coach training to as many people as possible, allowing for the ripple effect of coaching to have a positive impact on the world. A limited number of scholarships are available for selected courses. Scholarship funds are awarded based on financial need and the potential impact you will have as a coach.

Program Facilitators

Richard MichaelsRichard Michaels, MCC, CPCC, is a Master Certified Coach, Gestalt Therapist and artist. He is a visionary co-founder and director of Coaching for Transformation, and has been creating and leading workshops on personal, professional, and spiritual development for 40 years. He was a founding member of Kripalu Center in 1970, where he was a teacher, trustee and fundraiser. Richard is an author of Coaching for Transformation: Igniting Personal and Social Change and Moments on Canvas: Paintings by Richard Michaels.

 

Madhu Maron resizedMadhu Krishnappa Maron, PCC, CPC, works with people who are stuck in their careers, would love to do something different and have no idea how to start. She supports clients in creating a more satisfying and whole work life. Prior to becoming a coach, Madhu worked as a Human Resources professional for nearly twenty years for The Associated Press, Standard & Poors and other companies.
