Coach's Corner

Dreams—Gifts from the Unconscious
by Jagruti Gala

As coaches, one of the most impactful ways to serve our clients is to awaken and enhance their power to dream about their greatest potential. In fact we support many a client to DARE to dream! These are dreams of what’s possible and who they could become, and these are dreams seen when awake, with a conscious intention and directive.

I am equally fascinated and curious about the dreams that visit my clients when they are asleep and in a different zone of consciousness.

Dealing With Language Traps: Coaching Across Countries, Languages and Cultural Conditioning

Values: An Inside View
by Charlotte Morse

This series of articles on Leadership that Works’ values gives a glimpse into the core of our organization, defining the “why” and “how” we do business. Value - Heart Connection

Core Value #1: Heart Connection
As the CEO of Leadership that Works (LTW), I witness the LTW heart beating daily—in the classroom, through our internal interactions and in our coach-client relationships. LTW’s core value of Heart Connection is not about a sentimental feeling, but it’s the way we show up daily. Love shines through our actions… and our reactions.

Heart Connection is lived out through LTW’s commitment as an organization to consciously build relationships on a foundation of understanding and deep respect for one another. When we infuse this first value of Heart Connection throughout our organization, our other values easily fall into place.

A Snapshot of LTW's Heart Connection
We believe our human capacity for empathy and compassion builds trust, cultivates authentic and meaningful relationships, and empowers collaboration. We are committed to creating space for every part of every one of us. We believe in the power of love and generosity to support, challenge, respect and inspire each other.

Words of Wisdom

This month we focus on the Leadership that Work’s core value of Heart Connection. Here are inspiring thoughts about leading with the heart.

Wherever you go, go with all your heart. —Confucius

The only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle. As with all matters of the heart, you'll know when you find it. —Steve Jobs

The seat of knowledge is in the head, of wisdom, in the heart. —William Hazlitt

The greatest explorer on this earth never takes voyages as long as those of the man who descends to the depth of his heart. —Julien Green
