Martha Lasley, MBA
“I get to work with movers, shakers and changemakers who have visions that rock! I love helping activists and social entrepreneurs to make their visions real.”
As a founder of Leadership that Works, Martha has developed world-class programs and has taught coaching and facilitation to leaders across Europe, Asia and the Americas. She has reached more than 5,000 change agents who in turn facilitate groups to discover personal and organization transformation.
Despite many missteps, Martha has a deep passion for anti-oppression work and addressing white supremacy. She advocates for coaches and facilitators to go beyond working with the privileged few, and contribute to the evolution of humanity.
Coaching and facilitating groups in organizations acts as a springboard to address the social, economic, environmental, and political challenges of our times. Leadership that Works is a trailblazer in taking coaching skills into arenas where they are needed most: developing nations, under-resourced communities, marginalized groups, and more.
Martha is an author of three books:
- Coaching for Transformation: Pathways to Ignite Personal and Social Change
- Facilitating with Heart: Awakening Personal Transformation and Social Change
- Courageous Visions: How to Unleash Passionate Energy in Your Life and Your Organization
Martha has an MBA from Syracuse University, is a certified trainer in Nonviolent Communication, a professional certifed coach, and a professional member of the Indian Society for Applied Behavioral Science. She served on the faculty and coached MBA students at Capella University for 10 years. She volunteers with Showing up for Racial Justice and works to make facilitators from the global south more visible.
Martha takes great pleasure in organic gardening, healing soil, cooking, swimming, and hanging out with family.
