News & Notes

Applying for an International Coach Federation (ICF) credential?

Effective April 1, 2014, all applicants for an ICF Credential will be required to complete the ICF Coach Knowledge Assessment. This includes Coaching for Transformation graduates applying via the ACTP track. Applicants at all three credentialing levels (ACC, PCC and MCC) will be required to pass the assessment in order to earn an ICF Credential.

Here's what you need to know about the ICF Coach Knowledge Assessment:

  • Multiple-choice / Web-based
  • Includes questions around the ICF definition of coaching, the ICF Core Competencies and the ICF Code of Ethics
  • Offered in the same languages that the ICF allows for oral examinations
  • Once you pass the ICF Coach Knowledge Assessment, you will not be required to take the same assessment again when applying for a different ICF credential
