Adventures in Honesty

Are you tired of censoring your own voice? Want to be more direct? More candid? More confident?  What if people truly valued your unique way of expressing yourself? In this workshop you’ll learn a simple four-step process for standing your own ground. You’ll learn to identify and practice asking for what you really want. At the same time, you’ll listen to the needs of others so that you can cultivate openness, trust and cooperation. By deepening your awareness of everyone’s needs, including your own, you’ll learn to support everyone in cultivating new strategies. Even when you’re in challenging situations, you can act from a sense of your own fullness and power, while appreciating these same qualities in others, which unleashes fresh possibilities.

This simple, yet powerful approach gives you the tools to:

  • Ask for and get what you want
  • Speaking openly, honestly and directly
  • Make requests without sounding demanding
  • Translate judgment into awareness of your needs
  • Advocate for win-win solutions – where no one gives up or gives in
  • Overcome the barriers to expressing yourself more assertively
  • Manage challenging situations more confidently

Even when you’re in challenging situations, you can act from a sense of your own fullness and power, while appreciating these same qualities in others, which unleashes fresh possibilities.
