We are saddened and outraged by the murder of George Floyd, fueled by racism through the hands of multiple police officers in Minneapolis, MN USA. Mr. Floyd’s heinous murder provides yet another urgent call to the work needed to dismantle systems that perpetuate inequities and allow for acts of violence, especially in the Black community. We stand in solidarity with our Black colleagues and communities in the pain and grief of losing yet another precious soul to systemic racism. As an organization, we recommit our stand for social justice, equity and creating safe spaces where all humanity, regardless of race or ethnicity can thrive.
